TM needs to be to the side significantly IMHO. I don't know how tall you are, but unless you are freakishly tall, I've found the rise of the bow is significant at 10-15 mph just when you want to be able to see.
That looks sweet, I know the conditions you are hunting in are vastly different than I did in CT (rocky coast), but that location you have the transducer is prone to abuse just to warn you. My hull in that area from the first time I flipped it.
All looks good.
The flap boards would be great to be able to lean them in more towards the centerline to close off as much of the top opening as possible if you are going to mess with puddlers from the boat. Also consider having a ditch the boat mode where you can cover the cockpit and leave...
Looks good that is a great steo to get done.
I just noticed and wished I'd said it sooner, on the 5200, mineral spirits on a rag will dissolve it before cured and will let you work it as much as you like. Also, just an FYI, it does come in black. :)
Super hard to gauge the appropriate metal thickness as a builder, go a little heavy and it would get heavy fast. Many aluminum builds we have seen in the past were HEAVY.
Ended up with 18", or so, not less for sure. This time of year I expect it to disappear pretty quickly, but our forecasted temps don't seem to be in agreement with that opinion. Sun has a lot of heat in it so I'm hoping it will burn off to at least get things livable.
Beaver would like a good...
Just got inside, I wanted to get things partly blown off before the snow got high enough to top the box on the tractor mounted blower (18"). Well over a foot built up and hellacious winds, although they cooperated pretty well and I didn't get too much snow in the face. Should only get a few...
I haven't paid attention to them, but I just checked it out and that boat looks great, lotta places that would be good. I have to agree on the transom, a short shaft would be perfect on that boat.
Could be a mess. I’d mentally moved on from winter. I was planning on moving the tractor with snow blower out to the barn from the garage today, buuuutttttt… :(
