Advice on sneakbox - AA Broadbill or MLB Wigeon

I believe TDB use to sell replacement grassing rails for their boats. A black hard ,I believe synthetic type. Maybe you could adapt a set of their replacement's to your desired dimensions.

Advice on sneakbox - AA Broadbill or MLB Wigeon

Thats all dependent on how high your seated in hull as you need room to clear combings of course but also your calf's and be at a comfortable height to use. Figure out your seating arrangement than with oars in hand see if there's any clearance issues with combings ,etc. I'm sure your aware of...

Advice on sneakbox - AA Broadbill or MLB Wigeon

Might want to consider if you'll get water infiltration into floor at screw holes . Sealing after screwing should help.

    Tohatsu vs Suzuki

Some 15,s were built on 20 blocks and some on 9.9 blocks. Check that before buying. The Merc 15 2 stroke on my Ghenooe is on a 9.9 block which makes it only 2 lbs. heavier than the 10hp that its rated for. 72 lbs. Ran that motor on a A.A. Blackjack for a few years.

    Tohatsu vs Suzuki

You need to be real careful on battery selection as most new 4 strokes require a high C.C.A. battery. Something you might not achieve with say a lawnmower , motorcycle or snow mobile battery as someone mentioned. Even my Tohatzu 25 requires high C.C.A. battery.

    Tohatsu vs Suzuki

Consider which motor dealer you'd rather deal with. Maybe closest, best service, et. I,ve got a 25 Tohatsu on a 16' jon. Been a great motor. Suzuki's are good to. Also consider which is currently running best warranty deals .

    Dealer rigging for warranty???

I,ve only bought 1 motor thru my brothers commercial waterman's license. No tax was the only discount. The warranty restrictions are probably due to motor being used commercial , hence a harder life. Of course waterman benefits as using it as a write off on taxes.

Take a muddy filthy walk with a red dog

Just bare in mind. Any bad habits you let him do now you,ll have to correct latter. Its a lot easier on the trainer to teach it right the first go a round.

Take a muddy filthy walk with a red dog

Looks like hes having fun. If your going to hunt that dog you may want to make him sit stay till sent so that he,s not breaking on shot each time. May require putting him on a short lead till he,s good with staying. Just step on lead when your throwing.

    Stumbling with the red dog

By now you should have taught him to sit/stay I hope. When he returns with bumper give him the sit/stay command. Then take bumper from him introducing a leave it command. If he doesn't leave it roll your hand into mouth so he's forced to leave it in your hand. Training retrievers or any dog for...

    Fuel Tank Question

Can't see why you can't just make up a fuel line with correct fittings , factory bulb and length of good hose from a marine dealer. Got to be cheaper than a $100. Thats highway robbery. Has it got something to do with the fuel pump on that little motor? Thats worth some research into the whys of...

Searching for a new Boat Design

Coming from an old fart thats hunted some small boats your father is going to struggle hunting from those smaller boats sitting low even on cushioned seats. Your better getting into something allowing for more upright seating such as a boat blind on a jon style or TDB style hull. I love the...
