    palm fronds

If a woody is easy that would be awesome as we have a bunch in the river behind my house. Or a pintail? I don't really care, surprise me. Some info from a guy I know that carved a few: One guy I know makes pickle weed decoys out of the ones that are too small to make bodies out of. They make...

    Anyone need feathers this year?

I should be able to get a good supply of Pintail, Wigeon, and GW teal feathers for any fly tiers. Should also be some Canvasbacks, Cinnamon Teal, Woodies, and Spoons. I'd be happy to save them and ship them to you, would just like a few tied flies to come back this way.

    palm fronds

I'm guessing you missed a P, which is quite appropriate as that would have equated to soiling yourself [:/] Hahahahaha. I'm hot on the hunt for your fronds. Should have them soon and email you for a shipping address.[:)]

    palm fronds

How long are the other mallards you carve? Is 16" long enough? I'll get the biggest ones I can find (and maybe a couple smaller ones for teal). I'll go find some and send you a box of them, probably a dozen or more and you send me one/two back all completed?

    palm fronds

I will look around but don't know what you need? Are certain species better than others or is it just size that matters? What width/depth/length would you need?

    Sudan grass (sorghum)

You said Sudan, not sorghum, right? I don't think you'll be happy with the results. Can't imagine hunting birds in Sudan grass unless you have a bunch of pheasants around. Might be good for deer?

Kansas - Another Domino About To Fall In the Push to Reduce Non-Residents in Favor of Residents

Too many people with too much time and too much money. Gotta do something to protect the residents. If people don't like it, they can move there!

    Upland adventure help please

Can't help with the travel part. But look into Delta Junction if you're still there in September. There are some alfalfa fields with unguided day hunts for geese/sandhill cranes with decoys provided (at least there were 25 years ago). I found Ptarmigan along the road to Minto where I...

    Cold Blast Hunts

Great hunts for sure! Funny how your trophy bird on top of the pile is a spoony and lots of people around here won't even shoot them. Just depends on your location :)

    Dealing With Public Land Jerks

I'd set up just down wind of them even if there wasn't a good place to hunt. If they cheat to ruin my hunt I'd do the same. And the second they came over to confront me I'd call 911 and have the video running.

    Aerial picture of hunting spot

Neat picture! Just a question, looks like your blind makes you face into the rising sun? Why not put it into the shadows on the other bank and keep the sun out of your eyes?

    Who Is In The Wrong?

I think the hunters did nothing wrong! Were they on the line or maybe 1-2 feet on the other property? Sure but would any of you have even cared if it was your property? It's not like they didn't have permission for the other field or they set up out in the middle of the other guys land or they...

    Number of Decoys

No way, that would be uncivilized! We put them out just before floodup and leave them out all season. Just walk out the gravel path and jump into the pit and start hunting.
