    Kicker on Bankes Freedom

I have a bankes freedom and currently do not have a kicker. but I would think it would be easy to take a 6hp or so and stick it in the front cabin of the boat . if you need it just take it out and clamp it to the lip on the back of the boat raise the main and use the motor to get you home.

    Weight added by burlapping

I just ordered some non blush epoxy and some cream epoxy filler to try on the geese. will post up some results when it arrives. kevlar sounds like it would work but may just be too much work involved with final sanding and getting it right.

    Weight added by burlapping

just has me worried, I know that if water intrudes on a tile wall , say the grout is not sealed or has some spots where water can come in , the tile will fall off the wall. after the mastic underneath becomes soft. I may stick with epoxy and a sawdust slurry for filling holes and sealing, I...

    Weight added by burlapping

steve, what kind of mastic did you apply? I was going to burlap a dozen herters geese I have, I am concerned about water softening up the mastic thru some shot holes in the future. what are your thoughts on this, will the mastic soften up if the decoys develop a hole in them?

    Anybody mill there own lumber?

I have an LT40 super hydraulic here in central NJ I think your best bet would be to take the wood to the sawmill, it would be way to much setup and cost too much to bring a portable out to your site to mill that much lumber. most days a sawyer wants 1-2 thousand brd ft to make it...

I am a big fan of white pine also, it is so hard in this area to find cedar that is clear. once in a blue moon will you cut into a block and not find a knot or branch internal to the wood very easy to find clear white pine, just because of the way the tree grows. usually there is a 3-4 ft...

    Banks layout vs UFO layout

I purchased the new bankes pumpkin seed this year. it is wider and a little deeper than the older style layout. have hunted it a few times in the ocean and it has performed great. lots of room and no binding of your feet with waders on. it's not as big as their hercules, it is small enough that...
