I will add that a good quality SXS is easy to maintain in the salt, when you get home, off with the forearm and barrel wipe it off and spray down with a light oil on the metal. I have a couple of SXS that I use every weekend in the salt and all of them continue to function and look good...

I just like to tie them on, I used to use mono and crimp all the connections , those crimps are heck on a duck decoy if you hunt out of a bag or barrel, the crimps will cut up adjacent decoys and they will show a lot of wear and tear from just traveling.

nice bigeye, brown sharks are pretty good eating, yet are now protected and you can't keep them. hammerheads are not great eating, only ever tried one. release all of them now.

a real nice delaware river scull boat, story was it was rebuilt by a couple of teenagers, they did a nice job and it is always a bad thing when ron and mike bankes show up with a pile of boats, I had to take this one home they do make some very nice stuff
