    Decoy Swap?

I have 2 dozen broadbill decoys I would like to trade. They are Herters 72's, weighted keels, plastic heads, repainted (hunted 4-5 times after). They look great. I got them from a guy up in MA a few years ago and really don't use them much, I hunt puddle ducks 99% of the time. I would like to...

Less weight, but similar method to H weights?

I use the H weights. I use 16oz with about 18 feet of line. It seems like overkill but I have never lost a decoy to wind, current or ice. I use a half hitch around one of the corners to adjust line depth. If I'm hunting a spot I know well and know 8 feet of line is plenty, I unwrap a few wraps...

Teach my about rivers and appropriate boats

If you will mostly solo or just with a dog and no other hunters I would recomend an Estuary. Nice solid rig that can handle some rough stuff safely. Get the best motor you can afford and take care of it. If you will be hunting with another guy go with a TDB or something similar. Just my opinion.

    Sky busters......

I'm half way between the "new" generation and "older guys". Both groups have their flaws. I know older guys who have hunted 40+ years and are pigs when it comes to leaving trash, don't know the difference between game and throw birds in the trash. One of the biggest problems for the young crowd...

    repairing plastic decoys

They should be pretty helpful. All I can say is I had a paint issue with G&H and they told me to cut the keels off and send them the keels. Then they sent me brand new decoys. Excellent service.

    repairing plastic decoys

Water keel are a pain in the butt unless you hunt small sheltered ponds. Even then you have to place them, can't just toss them out. You only need a squirt or 2 of the great stuff, it expands like crazy as you found out. Like I said if you drill a hole under the tail section most of the excess...

Question about Venison snack sticks NDR

I made a batch of snack sticks about a month ago. I ran out of casings so I froze a ziploc freezer bag full of mixed venison and pork fat. My question is two fold. First, do you guys think when thawed the meat would still be ok to stuff and smoke? Second, the first batch tasted "porky". there...

Anyone know who produces Basspro thermos?

It arrived broken and they want you to pay shipping? I have never heard of that. Thats pretty terrible service. I ordered an item from cabela's that wasn't right, called and they shipped a new one and told me to just keep the old one. Call and speak to a MGR there is no way any cost should be on...

    New gun?

The recoil on an OU with heavy loads would become a pain in my opinion. I'd go with the auto loader.

    kids clothing

Just ask. I gave away 5 huge boxes of clothes in the past few years. All I ask is for the person to cover shipping and if possible pass them along when their kids outgrow them. I'll check what I still have, I may still have a tote full at my parents house. If I do its all yours for the little guy.

    Seat Cover Recommendation Wanted

I have a set of custom fit from Cabela's, I think they were Hatchie Bottom but I could be wrong. They are a twill like material. They faded pretty bad over the past 6-7 years but they still work. I wash them once a year and spray them with waterproofing tent spray. Leather in my truck is still...

Can anyone recommend booties for the pooch ?

I had the same thought, my dog had had surgery on 3 of 4 pads from debris in the marsh. I bought a pair and he couldn't swim well in them. I tried a different brnad/style and had the same problem. He walks fine in them but when he hits the water he had trouble swimming with them.
