Have you considered a piece of property near Long Point or Rondeau? I believe you're in the GTA, if you're willing to drive North for a potentially shorter duck season I'd consider coming further south. Let someone else manage the ducks for you, with a boat blind you have a lot of options in...

The Canadian National Wildfowl Carving Championship will be held sometime in March in Waterloo. Maybe we can try and coordinate a duck boat/gunning block meet up around that. I think I could get at least one other person involved.

Not to impose, but any chance of a southern Ontario meet up? I'd love to see the boat as well. Seems like all I see around here is mod v jon boats. I'm very envious of all the cool marsh boats seen on this website. I'm in Niagara but more than willing to drive.

Nice job everyone, the canvas decoys are so cool. I'm not moving too quickly but still in the right direction. Have gone through one full block of black cork and am going to give wood bodies another shot before I open the next box of cork. Any tips on keeping draw knives sharp?

Very nice! I have been using 1x on the tailboards and think I'd like to try to go a little smaller on future birds, thanks for the info. I've made lots of progress on a few things but not very close to finishing anything. We'll see what the last couple of weeks brings.

What a beauty, you did a great job. These were the trucks that made me fall in love in Toyota pick ups. I very happily drive a 2010 tacoma but would love to one day have a truck of this vintage to bomb around in.
