    deck bed liner type material...

I used Raptor bed liner on the inside of my aluminum boat with good success. Available at AutoZone and can be rolled. I used a sprayer that came with a kit. Very easy, just mask off anything you don’t want it on.

thanks. put the brass drainplug in today and set the top half of the boat back on it. Looks like I am going to need to make some minor adjustments as the top is sitting about 1/8 to 1/4" further forward from the original position. It sits down properly but the screw holes dont line up.

New transom is in. 3 layers of 1/2” Coosa 32. It will be significantly stronger than the original as it was only 1/2” ply with a 1” motor board. Have to clean up the edges and paint , then the top can go back on.

Thanks found it online. Also picked up my Coosa board today so the transom rebuild will start as soon as I can get back to the shop. Started working on cleaning up the top half of the boat to get it ready for paint. Overall it is in good shape, just a few chips in the gelcoat. I do...

Anyone know what this “clip” is called? Looks like this one is missing a part and the one on the other side is missing completely. It is the last “snap” on the canvas top Assuming I’ll need 2 of them when I get to that part of the rebuild. I guess it is just a more secure clip than a...

I requested to follow the group and waiting for approval. Have some questions about production years. Mine has a company tag that has a Florida address and the state has its production year as 1971. Just wondering if the state is right. If so, it is older than I thought originally.

Just went out to check on it and it is a little splotchy from the roller. Think a 2nd coat may be needed. Should I wait till fully dry or just a couple hours?

Well decided to go with Parker’s as this somewhat of a budget build and the Coosa board is going to eat most of the budget. While waiting on the Coosa, I did some repair work on the hull. It was mostly sanding out surface scratches and filling a few nicks and dings. Luckily none of the damage...

    Rub rail replacement

Steve, Thinking I am going to go with trex for the rub rail. Looking on the TDB site, they dont take it around the bow which solves a lot of the issue with installing it. Was thinking about making grassing rails out of it as well but may end up using leftover coosa board as I think I will have...
