    Devlin BB3 in aluminum

I'm gonna guess about 1/3 less, but a guess is all it is. I hope the op can provide a weight. Very cool.

Blizzard 2026 - How's things in your area?

At least Beaver's happy. :) Oh yeah, and if this keeps up your retirement will be here before the snow melts. No more pesky students.

Blizzard 2026 - How's things in your area?

I'm all dug out, and the youngster came through for stairs, decks and breezeways. The snowfall prediction was close, the end of the world power loss prediction was BS. We never got a blip and I live in the woods. Two of my sisters live in RI, they got over 30" and it's still coming. No bueno.

Blizzard 2026 - How's things in your area?

We're on the coast, I wish it was five degrees colder to make the fluffy stuff. I think the worst will be digging out the mailbox. This wet stuff is like semi frozen mashed potatoes, in a five foot deep pile the town plow left. The neighbors 12 year old is due this afternoon for shovel duty. He...

Blizzard 2026 - How's things in your area?

Right at 20" here at the moment. Not the biggest snow total, but it's wet. It sticks to everything, the shovel, the plow, my clothes. Great for making snowballs and snowmen. Underwhelming wind, not impressed. Good news is i had a meeting tonight that got cancelled. Came home from snowsledding...

20" or 15" transom on Duck Boss 13?

Tough to answer your question without further offense, but I'll tone it down. I object to paying extra to butcher a new vessel in order to mount what seems to me the correct motor for the hull and use. Your comment about clearing the coaming is noted. It's a low profile boat, I would prefer not...

    Boat ride anyone?

Lots of ice fishing time remaining this winter. Don't throw in the auger just yet.

    Boat ride anyone?

Jeez, you guys are Johnny Rainclouds. I'm heading home today from Maine. There's gonna be more snow in CT than here. I've been riding snowsleds and ice fishing for a week. Might bring a sled home to keep the fun going. :)

    Brant banding question

Lucky you didn't triple. The way they bunch up, I've seen many multiple bird shots. One time years ago I took three friends. A flock of eight came in and the three of them shot once each. I didnt shoot because I was pretty sure what would happen. Three shots, eight brant feet up. My dog had a...

    Brant banding question

I haven't shot one in several years. There are so few around, I just enjoy seeing them.

Moving stuff - how do you decide?

Turkey stuff would get the heave. Surely theres an empty spot on a wall or beam for the calls. Rent a 30 yard dumpster, you'll find that once you get rolling stuff flies into it. I did my office of 35 years and my parents house in 2024, total of six 30 yarders. Very satisfying and I haven't...

“On the Ebb” - Black duck hunting film by Field & Stream

I have very similar memories! We called jump shooting the marsh "turd hawking". I have no clue where that came from. I still enjoy walking it, but more so spending the night before a first day. When it's quiet at 1 or 2 in the morning, the sounds of critters and the smell is a unique experience...

DNR Rescues Duck Hunters From River

I would suggest that they be ready to extract it the moment it thaws free. Once the ice starts moving, a boat caught in an ice flow and jam is likely to be destroyed.

I'm staying. Well, might need to go out for another load of popcorn but I'll be back soon.

Perhaps it aggravates me most because I never heard the term until it popped up on the internet. But my statement about legitimizing the concept that paying to hunt is the standard is in the definition "where hunters travel to new, unfamiliar areas to locate, scout, and hunt game without using...

Tough to follow up those treatises. I have two comments: 1. Glad you're never gonna grade any paper I write. :) 2. Thank you for using the word hunting, not freelancing. It makes me nuts being labeled a pirate or similar, and legitimizes the idea that paying to hunt should be the norm. (y)
