    A lighter alternative?

I think i'd buy a kayak on sale at box store for car topping. Glass, foam, wood and resin adds up, cost and weight wise. Just saying. Gene

John, Gunner looks just like my youngest boys chessie, Magnum. Give your boat a season of sitting in it on normal Ohio waterfowl days and you"ll figure out all the modifications needed in the off season. Al, you've got way more fowl than we do and alot less water, but I know I'd miss the big...

    Trigger finger is getting itchier!

Al, very nice shots. You had mentioned cranes, can you hunt them in NM? I had a treat a couple years ago having a whole 4 of them blown off course and hanging out in NE ohio, NW pa. They seemed to follow me the whole season about once a week they'd show up whereever I was hunting. They were...

Fruits of my labor, BB almost done

John, My boat is a factory built BB from Original company with a 15 s/s mercury. Nope I didn't do the sisal, way to much work. Fast Grass sheets--Q?

Jeff, it can be cut. Off the bottom works best, sides ok, but isn't as neat, close though. Cut from back side above or below the knots. Zip tie smaller pieces together @ all knots works best. The way I look at it if I get 2yrs use I'm happy, cuts the price in half. Anymore it's a bonus. Gene

    Slotted Storage Bags

At some point someone had used them. I believe they were the IKEA brand bags, don't remember how good they held up. Maybe run a search here. If memory serves me correct they used the gunnel stlye down inside and out of boat. Hell, at $4 throw away at end of season. Gene

Not what I was envisioning. I have a bunch of bale twine from sq. bales I've put out to cows. Some is natural most is syn. stuff anymore. All my round bales are red &white syn. You have to have some serious hours into making all you did. I think I'll wait for your feed back from season...
