ive built a couple scale models in the past several days, a couple like the hybrid styles, and will be doing one soon of a modified hummer. really gives you an idea of what works and what doesnt. i have been using 1/8"-1".

i was looking on the devlin site, and was checking out the required materials for the ducks boats, and obviously marine plywood was on there. i was wondering what most use? i googled marine ply and found several kinds, doug fir, okoume, something called maranti hydro tek, and was wondering...

they are very heavy, over 100 lbs. might as well build a hummer or a hybrid like the one on the refuge, and use wood. the hybrids are only like 60 lbs, and can handle anything a foamer can.

the refuge forums has several threads on building longtail and outboard style motors from weedeaters, like the rickshaw.

all it says is 60 degrees. i was wondering if it would still set in 50 degree weather. i know itll be slower, but will it eventually set?

ive gotta gel coat the floor of a boat before march 17th, thats when crabbing opens up. the next couple of days are going to top out about 55 degrees, 40's at night. is that warm enough for it to set ok? or should we wait and take the chance to see if it gets any warmer before opener?
