    Account upgrade and/or renewal.

Eric I can find a straight "donation" spot and I can find my account upgrade spot but I don't see how to maintain my currant level of support which expires on 2/1. Do I have to wait until it expires to renew at my present level? Also is PayPal still accepted as payment?

    Clearing want add posts

I have a "T Shirt forum fundraiser" add currently on the classifieds. They have both sold. In the classified rules it says to add "sold" to the title line when it's done/sold but I am unable to do that? Might be me not being to bright or might be because I almost always only access the site...

    Member Passing

I was informed by his wife that Tom Tyler passed away yesterday due to complications from a recent emergency major operation. Tom has been a waterfowler for years but of late his interest had turned to upland hunting..usually solo with his dog. He enjoyed fine double guns in smaller gauges. He...

    I?m confused and unhappy

I thought this site was about duck boats, decoys and waterfowl hunting and history. Enough of the political crap or you will be driving a wedge between the members of this last internet duck forum.

    Photobucket notification

Just for information ..... Photobucket sent me notification at 3:50AM that my third party hosting was being terminated if I didn't upgrade. They must be working their way down to the users with small numbers of pictures as I only have about 20 or 25 pictures stored there.

Behr paint question for Steve S

Hi Steve...Last time I was at HD I stopped to scope out the paint counter and try to make sense (I'm a little thick headed at times) of your instructions on your paint use. To say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. :-) I have a few questions before I stop back and try to get some...

Didn't work for me from iPad or iPhone but I'm challenged by these devices. I believe that I was able to post pics back in the PB day?

    Restoring ash oars

I have spent the last hour searching this forum for info on restoring the wood on some oars that I abused terribly without success. The oars were left outside for a year and have turned grey due to weathering. They had a poor finish on them before and now appear to be raw grey wood...no finish...

    NDR Local winter weather predictors

How many here watch for natures weather predictors? I watch for the woolly worm caterpillar, berry crops, etc. I noticed this Mountain Ash tree in the yard where I was raised about 50 miles North of Spokane. It's so loaded that if we get a wet snow before the Waxwings, Robins, Ruffed Grouse...

    Lead pencil

A while back...a year or so ?......there was a discussion of pencils and someone on here enlightened us with info on "Made in the USA" lead pencils that were way superior to some of the junk on the market. I have searched but can't find that information so.......can someone bring that info back...

    Optivisor question

I've had one for years and the lens is marked #3. I want a longer focal length but when I looked at the product specs now I don't see the same numbers listed In fact I only see four focal lengths so I'm wondering if the product has changed since I bought mine. I thought that there were many...

    outboard mtr weight help

So I am getting a couple of older OB's going. A 1966 9.5hp Evenrude and a 1974 15hp Johnson. The 9.5 was my Grandpa's and I bought it from his estate years ago with his 12 ft. Hewescraft. I used it for years before going on to bigger outfits but never got rid of it. I have the owners manual for...

    Sandhills and Snows

Headed West on I 80 ysterday from Grand Island to North Platte we were pleased to see 10's of thousands of Sandhills (my estimate) and multiple 1000's of Snow's feeding along the freeway and flying everywhere. Some Canadas and lots of ducks also on the freeway ponds. In addition there was a...

Question for Ronan's users on gunners

I am repainting the side pockets on a decoy I painted with Ronans 1 1/2 years ago. It was hunted in the salt for one season. Durability was not an issue....color was. I never top coat decoys so it's just Ronan's over a Spar Varnish sealer coat on HD cork. So I'd like to just clean up the...

Trend Airshield FS - lower price

Asking $150 post paid in the lower 48. Used but like new. This is the Original Airshield not the Pro. I purchased this unit in 2009 and while it worked for me I just can't seem to get used to it hanging on my head. Used very little...not at all in the last 2 years. Consider trade for decoy...

Help with a Stanley #51 shave

Recently picked up a Stanley #51 that is missing the thumb screw or knurled knob that holds the iron solid after adjusting. It fits the top screw hole in the cap. The thread in the hole appears to be a 10-24 NC but a 10-24 will not clear the hole in the casting. Looks like there may be a bad...

Question on epoxy procedure for decoys

What do you folks use to spread the epoxy on the joint when fastening two part wood decoys together with thickened epoxy? I have done a few wood decoys...doing more wood decoys now that my cork has run out and I have lots of wood to use up. I've tried wood sticks, tongue depressors, etc., but...

Just a note. After I registered I received the Email notification but when I tried to use the URL to complete the validation it locked my system up. I eventually had to manually turn of the machinr, unplugged it, to get clear? After I rebooted I tried it again and it worked fine. Looks...
