We slapped a box together today. The bottom and sides are 1/4"mahagony and the ends are 1/4" baltic birch underlayment. It will get filleted and taped on the inside and clothed on the outside. It will be towed behind the boat with a couple bags of decoys in it.

The in-laws have lived in our basement for a while but found a house and have moved on. I got my duck room back so now I have a nice warm and dry place to burlap and paint! It's very sunny out right now so the pics are bright, but you get the idea. Oh, and the plants in the window are...

Got to work on my redhead again, even if only for a few minutes! Now all that's left is a little carving on the bill, texture, paint, and keel! Someday it will be done...

I got a few more foamers roughed out real quick. After I attach the heads I will layout and mark the eye channels, flanks, wings, etc... and then finish carving and sanding 'til they look pretty. I've already made a Can, and liked how it turned out so now I will attempt a Redhead, Scaup, and GE!

Any carvers have experience with any of the cheaper rotary tools(dremel,B&D,ryobi,etc...) with a flexshaft attachment for carving? I would be using it to rough out foam blocks so I can't see spending the $ on a foredom or wecheer! I'm thinking about getting the Black&Decker RTX 3 speed...
