Decoy Rig Contest Winner (Part 2)

Larry is as fine a gentleman as one could hope to meet. His generosity is greatly appreciated by me, and I am very much looking forward to hunting over his diver rig this winter. I've wanted a rig like his for a while but could not take the plunge - I'd seen it as an eventual goal. To have this...

    Duckboat Taxonomy

Perhaps not really a "boat" but a coffin I've always just considered a coffin, unique to itself. I've killed far more ducks from a kayak than anything else. Second would be a canoe.

On The Topic of the Fourth Gen Tacoma....

I was very excited about the 4th gen Tacoma and was likely going to purchase one. The manual transmission was being brought back in the base models, where previously it had only been available in the very top model. Toyota did indeed bring it back in the base models, but for some unknown reason...

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

I never had issues with lead, and killed many turkeys with it. I choose TSS now because I want to have the best tool available for the job. This tool costs me $18/shot instead of $5/shot. I (hopefully) fire two shots per season. $36 instead of $10 is a $26 difference. I'll happily pay $26/year...

    NDR: Turkey Shells?

I strongly believe they are. I spend a lot of time turkey hunting and drive quite a distance to get to my hunting grounds. If I fire two shells per season, that's a little less than $40 with the ammo I shoot. It's much cheaper than the gas I use to get to and from my hunts, cheaper than the...

    Very lucky day for me

What a special day, and that's a beautiful old warrior of a bird. Imagine how many gunners he has dodged over the years. Congratulations on a memorable outing.

The March 2, 2024 Long Island Decoy Collectors Show- Long Island, NY

Thanks for posting. I tried to make it last year but was unable (I think due to a snowstorm). I'll try to make it this year.

    Glad my password....

Nice ducks! You did better than my past several hunts. Very much in the doldrums here as far as duck hunting goes.

    Let's Talk About Site Access

I'd say full access (minus posting of course) to anyone. Many, myself included, browsed for a while before joining. When I've joined other forums it's been similar - lurk for a while, see if it's for me, then join.
