You jinxed me! So...long story long... I poured the clear a couple days after the color, and ran out of resin. Stopped and picked up another gallon kit, and got it up to the wood edges. Worked out all the bubbles, thought all was good, let it sit for 5 days or whatever the recommended cure...

    Rail Skiff Build

Looks great on the water. I might have missed it, but was there a reason for a square stern vs double ended like some rail boats? I have been there on the close ups too, looks better in person than you can get the camera to focus. Regardless, nice touch letting your brand and the natural...

    E-bikes, pretty much a non-issue for me

Sounds like you need one rated for 749 watts E-bikes are the wild west right now, I am actually surprised your WMA has that specific of regulations. I love and hate them (though I have never rode one myself). I love that with the motor assist, it is getting people outdoors and active, as many...

This has been great to follow along with, I love how you left the brand unpainted! You got a closer pic of that? Thanks for sharing Chuck

Trapped the cool air from last night in the garage and was able to pour the color this afternoon. Masking tape covering the wood edges, next step to pour up to the wood with clear making it flat, then final couple coats of varnish:

It is fun to share too...hope to get some blue and green epoxy down this weekend if the heat and humidity is not too intense.

Sanded down the shapes, with the level across from lip to lip you can see the gap over the center that will be floated with epoxy: Worked on the 'beaches' last night:

You can see here a little better, the wood shapes are 1/4" thick, and there is a 5/16" lip all the way around the table which will be the final epoxy level. I thought about making the game pieced recessed to hold the actual game pieces, but figured that would become a cleaning nightmare and as...

That is exactly my plan. I tried the sand in the trial plot two ways, first I put the sand down and poured epoxy on top, it kind of rolled off at first. So on the opposite end (top of that pic) I put epoxy first and sand on top. I think I like the first way better, but either way I kind of...
