Erik, I agree with Pete too. I powered mine originally with a 2 stroke 25 hp mercury, it seemed a little underpowered. I believe Devlin was hanging 2 stroke 30 hp originally, I found a '98 40 hp mercury (same motor different reed) I've been running it for 6 years. It seems just about right.

I have read a little about bending 6061 t6 and there seems to be alot of differing opinions. I think another option is 6063.......which bends better and will "age" to 6061 strength. I need to be able to bend it to a 90 but probably at a 3 or 4 inch diameter circumference. I do have access to...

I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience bending 6061 t6 tubing. I want to rebuild the blind on the BB III during this off season.

I hunt lakes and rivers here in SE ohio rowing is enjoyable. I fact using one oar and shooting carp with my bow off the deck in the summer is fun. Just trying to figure out if it would be safe?

Was hunting in my BB III yesterday and am trying to get extra junk out of the boat. I have a set of oars that I keep in the boat in case the motor quits, I think they are 8' oars and are always in the way. Space is at a premium in the cockpit sooo...... was wondering if a take apart kayak...

Hey Tod, I have not seen pictures of your boat before. Is it a BB III? I am trying to work out some blind issues for mine I built in 02'. How do you have yours rigged? What does the bungy cord run through under the grassing rails? Does it really help hold the grass? Thanks Scott

Charlie, I did use kevlar on my BBIII built 4 years ago. If I remember right I did overlap the keel by at least 2 inches and I did run it all the way up to the the way to the top of the gunwale, motor well, and sponsons. I really did not have much trouble, other than it took a couple coats...
