Perigean delight...

No problem Tim. I even took some food photos this eve. It was just as gay as I expected it to be but here they are.

The chowder is delicious. It looks more yellow in the photo than it really is...must be the lighting. This is what is left of a big pot of it.

Dinner....

And yes, I do have vintage formica counter tops.

Tod, I didn't mean to jack yer thread but those clams hurled me into food talk. That is a helluva nice day outdoors man! I've never taken a brant and only seen a handful here. Some day!

Not a problem Jay, we all love a good meal. I'm ready to make some chowder. We had to suffer with a few oysters and a bit of cream for dinner. ;).

A productive outing for sure, congrats!
We usually do a calm & duck day a couple times a year, makes for a great dinner that evening.

Hey Tod,

I have not seen pictures of your boat before. Is it a BB III? I am trying to work out some blind issues for mine I built in 02'. How do you have yours rigged? What does the bungy cord run through under the grassing rails? Does it really help hold the grass?

Thanks Scott

Tod,
hunted right over an oyster bed last outing. Those look good.
Jay thanks for the details on the chowder. Sounds good. We should be in the perch this weekend.

Tod how is that new fuel filter working? Have you seen any more condensation in the lines this cold snap?

Hey Bob, motor has been running well since I added the filter. I was going to change it before it got cold, but I didn't. A little motor like a 40 four stroke doesn't use very much gas and that is a full sized filter I put on.

Scott,

The boat is a snowgoose. The shock cord is to attach the blind, I never grass the boat, but I do think a duck boat should have grass rails.

As for the blind I built it to hunt low and high, low most of the time and high when I have geezers with me that can't move fast enough to shoot from the floor. I wanted a dodger, a blind to cover the cockpit in a low blind, and the ability to have a high blind. I really happy with it.

For sure! It can be real hilarious watching a long legged well bundled old geezer rolling around on the sole trying to get up for a shot. Thankfully the blind works very well.

Someday I will take pictures of the neatest part of Tod's blind. The sockets he built into the boat. TOTALLY COOL!

Scott
