    Sanford Gunning Box?

I have a 1930/1940 cedar marsh box made of cedar plank. It was from the Frankenback family on long island. They were left in the creek tied to trees and sat in the marsh to shoot out of. They sat on the ground, not floated, most were towed to the spot for gunning.

Need advice on shooting a .410 for ducks this year to reduce recoil

Take yourself to a range and shoot some clays, you'll see if the 410 will work for you. If you have a 28 try that, you'll have a hard time locating ammo. When you see it, buy it. I like the 28 on nice days [ my clays gun ].

    Shooting School

I'm not a fan of all the gadgets on shotguns. I shoot browning o/u and they come with hi viz front sight, my instructor took mine off. If you see the sight, your not seeing the bird correctly. You should be seeing the ridges on the clay birds, hard focus. I mount my gun, then drop it off my face...

    De-Shining webbing - DB13 Dodger

One of the guys i worked with made a metal frame for the boat and tied in netting. then tied iron grass to it. The frame was removed after the gunning season and hung in the garage for next season. The grass can be added to for the next season and the boat used for other play.

    Shooting Lessons?

You should try lessons. Do a father / son lessons, gives you a break and you can see what the instructor is trying to get foward. Having a friend teach may not be good unless they are really good. Also check out different instructors, I had four who were really good, learned deifferent things...

Love watching driven bird shoots over the pond. Beautiful SxS's being used like years ago. When I was younger, I would watch field trials here on Long Island.
