TDB 16’ scull as sneak boat??

This is not what the boat is designed for and I would also agree that it is not a very safe way to hunt. My vote is pass and look for another hull that is made to hunt two persons.

    NDR--for now. And fish!

"When I upgrade to the 24' center console with twin 150's I might worry a little." Hah, I'm never going back to a boat that big! I'm actually considering just grabbing a good ole Johnson 9.9 2 stroke off facebook marketplace. Tons of snow birds retire down here with boats and motors from up...

    NDR--for now. And fish!

Very cool stuff all around, Jeff. How do you like the new Suzuki so far? The company i work for now is involved with dam removal projects all over the country, including many in New England. The effects on positive migratory fish are almost always immediate and dramatic.

    Trolling Motor Batteries Setup ??

Looks like the NV series is a standard controller (5F/3R). Mine is a NV. But some of their high end products have digital.

    Trolling Motor Batteries Setup ??

Yep, this helps. I thought parallel was the way to go vs heavy draw on one battery. I think my usage time tracks well with the above notes. Coming and going to my spots I’m running full power, and seeing 3-4 mph on the gps. I bought the batteries from Newport too. Hard to beat their prices.

    Trolling Motor Batteries Setup ??

Already have the two 12V 50AH DP sealed marine batteries. TM is a 55lb thrust Newport with digital controller.

    Trolling Motor Batteries Setup ??

Looking to get max run time and reliability out of TM setup. When using a TM as primary propulsion on small waters that don't allow (or need) a gas engine, is one better off setting up 2 -12V 50AH DP marine batteries in parallel or keep them separate with a 3 positions (1, off 2) switch? Or...

    Federal regulations for duck

Yep, I've seen similar record players in old trapping and predator hunting books from back in the 60's/early 70s!

    Holy Mackerel

I need to fish the mangroves one of these days. Just hard to break away from the bridge when the Mac’s and snapper are biting. I’m going to try to fish the grass flats more for specs once it cools off this fall.

I fillet and vacuum pack my Spanish Mac’s and they are just fine. Kings when I get them too. Kings: we caught tons of them in Alabama from April through October, slows down close to shore in July and August. Here in Tampa, they’re here in the cooler months, March-April and October- November...

All federal waterfowl and wetlands research proposed to be eliminated from USGS

Novel argument but I dont think the science would back it up.

I’ve had smoked king Mac dip, it was amazing. But I’ve never smoked it myself. We grill, bake or fry it. Or do saba sushi with smaller ones. Saba kabayaki is good too.

    Holy Mackerel

Dani, Amazingly not a single lure or hook! I use 50# mono for leaders. Even then cut offs happen. But none Sunday. Most of them were caught on small dead alewives. A few on jigs. Caught a bunch of small jack crevasse too. Had fish tacos for dinner!

I haven't caught an Atlantic Bonito in years. We used to get them off the Okaloosa Island Pier in Fort Walton Beach.

    Holy Mackerel

Took the old duck boat out on the bay yesterday morning. The Spanish macs were thick at the Gandy Bridge. The bite was fast and furious when the schools came in. I did see a couple of mottled ducks at the stormwater pond on the way back from the ramp.
