Very sad lesson to learn. That's why I never could've had a dog when I lived in Florida. Maybe a freak accident but not a risk I'd be willing to take.

I would think dawn would remove too much of the natural oils in their coat and dry out their skin. I never bathe my dog but he does swim in fresh water everyday if that counts. I just give a hose down with fresh water only if he needs to be washed of something.

Great photos thanks for sharing! You can also try the canvas bumpers while teething, or I also used paint rollers. Just fill them with a little weight to throw them.

Yes they will be able to co exist without problems. Some good advice was mentioned about gradually introducing the dogs in a neutral place to avoid territorial issues. Labs are very quick to learn, if you set a standard that they need to follow, they'll figure it out regardless of what the other...

I understand the excitement, i'm scheduled to get my new chocolate pup in mid april. Only thing better than getting a new puppy is getting a new boat and a new puppy to compliment my new boat!!!
