16' Starcraft in Jacksonville, FL

I thought ducks were color blind!!!?????
Oh well, guess I would need to factor in a gallon of OD Green into the budget.
:)

I have a 14' and my dad has a 16' with a 30 hp 4s.
In my opinion his 16 does not have enough power when it is loaded and tends to wallow in the water especially when the waves pick up.
Just something to consider when you put a couple hunters and everything they bring and you want that 25 to push it.

From the picture they appear to be the same.
The 16' is not a bad boat, I would just want a bigger motor if I was going to use it on open water.
It seems to need a lot more punch to get on plane than my 14' even though they have the same dimensions except for being 2' longer.

What is the beam & capacity on yours?

Haven't had a chance to talk to this guy yet, just emailing so far.

I am not sure off the top of my head.
I have a 20 hp 2s on it.
With three men, dog, gear, decoys it has no problem getting on plane and will run about 20 on the gps like that.

OK, no problem, I will be talking to the guy this evening.

Are they pretty stable for shooting/standing to fish? I'll be hunting/fishing two of us mostly, rarely 3 of us.

Thanks!

It is pretty stable for what it is.
I use the boat mainly to get to where I hunt, so other than cripples I don't shoot much from it.
I fish a lot of tidal creeks through the marsh and stand on the bench seat while casting, drifting, poling.
I also use it to trotline for crabs, and the person using the net stands.
Unless another boat goes by it is fine.
