This motor came on the boat a bought a few months back. I had an opportunity to buy a newer motor so this one is needs to go. The previous owner told me he had it checked out at a local shop this past spring before deciding to sell. I had it out for about a hour when I test drove the boat. Motor runs fine. I've searched the local boat shops and online. It seems a motor of this vintage is being listed for between $750 to $995. Seems high to me for a 1981. $500 seems fair.
