Sounds like fun....keep them birds moving! I'll finish up grassing the flatbottom this weekend. The water is looking good in the islands. Starting to see some birds on the move this week......TWO MORE LONG WEEKS for us....

43 Days 9 Hours and 8 Minutes for us.... but who's counting (insert smiley!!!) I can not wait for pics Dave. Shawn

The weather system should bring you some ducks for the opener. I saw some migrating geese this morning. It's been a while with all the South wind we have been getting. I saw the first flock of Blue Bills this morning.

Good luck on your opener.

Oh hell suck it up Dave:

I had to obey she who must be obeyed and have been fixing #2 sons vehicle for the last two days, and will have to work on it tomarrow. My usual swamp is FROZEN Solid, pulled some ducks the day before, Jet brole Ice going out and comming in. If the other pond is open I hope to try again, as soon at the rig is fixed.

Whine Snivel, it is cold laying in a ground blind, even with 5 mm chest waders on, may have to add a GI sleeping pad to the bottom.

Give er hell boys have a good season! Weve done about all we can do to send em south to you. Swans have been heading out of dodge bigtime so the end is in sight.

Dave what kind of camera and lens are you shooting? I recently picked up a Rebel XTI and a 70-300mm is usm lens that was suggested by Hitch. I've shot about 260 pics so far trying to figure every thing out but probably need to shoot 10 to20 times that amount before I start posting any thing. I go back check them out, see which ones came out good and check what the settings were and try to remember them for next time, my wife and I are going to sign up for some classes too, I really don't have a clue to what I'm doing.
Our season opens Monday, a few of the good spots we wanted to hit are just about dried up. We checked out another spot this morning that looked a little more promising with some gw teal a few mallards and a bunch of woodys, we'll see what happens come Monday. Keep those pictures coming we never get tired of them.
