2x4 cedar?

I was able to salvage a bunch of nice white cedar 2X4 from a deck that we removed from a job ,I have a few projects in mind for it but I was wondering if I can laminate it together to use to carve a few decoy bodies I have never carved before but have been thinking about giving it a try. I put a few pieces through a planer and it looks great.

Pat,

Absolutely! Use a high quality, waterproof wood glue (like Titebond) and a lot of pressure to laminate the wood. I'd make some teal with that wood;)

SWEET! I made my cedar swan out of 2x8 cedar boards laminated for thickenss then put the halves together. I used gorilla glue no issures at all.
ENJOY!

I would glue up edgewise to make 2"x8" planks and make the body cutouts from these. I would temporarily fasten two 4"x8"xL pieces together and rough out the body. After roughing out I would separate the two pieces and hollow out both top and bottom and then glue together permanently.
