Your package arrived this afternoon.........8 days on the nose! I'll give you a report on the results after breakfast in the morning.
Our little Hicktown market had a mess of buffalo steaks for sale today, so I stopped by on my way home today and got Judy and I a couple nice steaks for supper tonight. The butcher (jokingly) said he had to import them all the way from the Williams Valley Buffalo Ranch, which is just across the Applegate River from us. Judy drives by the ranch and sees the buffalo every day.
I dtove to Rogue River (the town) today to get a haircut and on the way back I stopped and visited with my friend Dave Artoff who have a nice place on the Rogue River. We were looking out over his 5 acre pond and he asked me why I have not been by to catch more bass, crappie and bluegill for my ponds? So, we got things arranged for next week. He is in charge of Josephine County Sportsmans Park sporting clays section of the gun club and he said he's let me catch all the fish I want if I'll shoot a round of sporting clays with him next wednesday, it was a tough decision, but I finally gave in. Want to go? He said I could bring a couple friends along.
Dave has his place up for sale too. He said he will buy a small place locally and then strat traveling tha sporting clays shoots around the west in his new moter home. He has 30 acres on the river with a boat dock, a 5 acre pond, a custom built 1890 2-story home and it's only 2.5 mil. I could probably get you 10% off if you want it? Heck, that's chump change for a Perazzi shooter like you Joe. Just think Joe, no chiggers, no tornadoes and no hurricanes. But that would also mean that there would be no bobwhites to shoot. You'd be stuck with only valley quail, mountain quail, ruffed grouse, sage grouse, chukar, hungarian partridge and pheasants.
