Ahhhh! Thanks for the call. The phone repairman found the problem, some critter chewed the phone line up at the shop and it shorted out the phone system there and back down here at the house.

Now I'm having trouble with emails being sent. My ISP says they will have it shorted out shortly. So, here's the pic's of my Rissini 20/28 ga. set. 30" barrels 10 28 ga. and 5 20 ga. factory choke tubes, all 9 Briley chokes from CYL to Extra full, 3 factory wrenches and one new Briley 20 ga. speed wrench. It's going to the Trap Club sunday.

I'll talk to you this weekend.

Nice gun there Dave, too bad it isn't complete with a 410 barrel. Wish my SKB had choketubes for the 28 and 410 barrels...also wish they were 30".

Since I got my Rizzini 28 a year and a half ago I rarely shoot anything else. If I would have known how much I like shooting a 28ga I would have bought one years ago. Enjoy!!

If I keep this gun I'll do like Joe does, just oreder a set of .410 tubes for it. Joes has been shooting insert tubes for years and loves them He went 9 for 9 bobwhites with his 410 inserts at the end of the season. I think it was his dogs holding the birds tight that made it happen, haha.

The 28 is fun to shoot and it seems to do just as well as the 20 on clays here at home. Judy really likes the .28 and doe's very well with this Rizzini with both barrels.

You seen any sign of Spring yet? It's supposed in the 70's here tomorrow, a good day to trap shoot. I can see my food plots starting to really green up now.

Best,
Dave

Full length tubes ..or chamber inserts? 50 Degrees here today, Gramma,Grandson and I went out to the lake this afternoon. Took his pellet gun in case we saw a rabbit...none were out so we shot some plastic water bottles.

The chamber inserts as they seem to work fine for Joe and are more easily obtainable, you now just tell them the make and model gun and they ship them to you. Most of the long tubes have to be fitted I understand.

boils down to Briley full length companion tubes which he offers with screw in chokes for just about any SxS or O/U without sending the gun.He also makes short tubes that do not need to be factory fitted as well as two lines of full length tubes in at least three different wt's that require the gun to be sent in.All of his tubes have intergral extractors, which fit right over you gun's extractor. Then three other company's make short tubes.I have .410 tubes from Chamber Mate which are 10" long, for a 20Ga with 3" chamber. They make them for just about and gauge gun to shoot any smaller Ga.I do not recommend 410s out of anything larger than a 20Ga.Seminole and others can be easily found with any search engine.

I was looking at the Chamber mates..I think.. for an old SKB 12ga O/U I have that has about 20" barrels. It's pretty light and I thought it would make a nice gun for the Grandson since the stock is about 12 lop. I thought that was a lot of money for inserts. Supposedly, some Airforce officer who was pretty little was stationed in Japan and brought the gun back with him. On the skeet range you can almost close your eyes and shoot from the hip with it.

Check the chambers on that gun, they are probably 23/4.The .410 Chamber Mates are much Higher than the 20' and 28's.they are shorter too.The 20 tubes would be my choce to put into the 12ga for the Grandkids. You could load some light 3/4oz loads at about 1120fps and they could handle that for sure.Hit more targets too.The .410 is for experts like you,I missed two of my birds closing day with the first barrel so I didn't go 9 for 9 as Dave said.I'll take 9 for 11 anyday.I've done much worse, like today, shot a 77 in handicap Trap.

I was thinking 28ga. I remember years ago...someone made inserts that were about 10 bucks apiece. They used to sell them in Cabelas. I have to get Blake lifting weights I think.

28s would work but not as good as 20s out of a 12ga barrel.Talking about the short tumes made by Gauge mate. The silver ones are the cheapest and they come out of the gun every time and you punch the shell out with a dowel or...They make a gold series that stay in the gun and they have a cutout that enables you to lift the shell out with your toe nail if your good.Again I wouldn't step down more than one gauge.Trouble with the 28 is the high price of ammo.Like the .410 the companys stick it to you.12ga 23/4 target loads are the least expensive to buy or reload simply because of the cost of the hull.Led shot is way up now as well.I never practiced skeet with the 28 for that reason, only in tournaments.Had to practice with the .410 to try to stay proficient. It is allot of fun with no recoil. My Perazzi with .410 full length tubes weighs about 9 lbs.
