Chili was eyeballing the other teal I had dropped in the weeds.
Here are a few shots from the last 48 hours.
One of the identifiers of a female black-chinned hummingbird would be the outside three tailfeathers. On each side the tips are white and easy to see.
This is a juvenile male Rufous. They are just as feisty as the adults.
I call this female the "Pollinator"!
This little gal is just 2 1/2 inches long. She's an adult female Calliope which is North America's smallest bird.
This is an adult male Calliope.
An adult male Rufous with sunlight!
