a brass drain plug

how hard is it ,to put a drain plug in the back off a wooden sneak box.any pic of this .

I put this garbard plug in my fiberglass boat last year. It takes a 1" hole. Just follow the directions that come with it for placement. Use 3M 5200 adhesive sealant around the base and on the screw threads. Brush some epoxy around the fresh wood made by the drill bit to seal the transom. Easy Peasy.

I haven't used the style Ed mentioned, I use the standard 1" brass tube. One end is pre-flare, cut it to lenth and flare the other end. There's a flare tool for it or just take your time with a ball-peen hammer.

Everything else is the sam as Ed. Seal the wood and use a good adhesive.

Its an easy install and you will be extremely happy rather than messing around with those rubber plug deals...
