I have never really posted on this site, Im mostly on Refuge forums (sssurfertim). I live and hunt on Long Islands South Shore, and hunt about 45 to 50+ days out of the 60 day season. I hunt out of my small grass boats mostly, I have a southbay and a Baur boat.

Tim nice pics. Do you get alot of shovelers, pintails & widgeon down there? Reason I ask is because I live just south Albany NY on the hudson river & we hardly ever see them. Thanks for posting. Joe

Yes we get good numbers of pintails where I hunt, The shovelers were shot in a little pond during a noreaster, shovelers and teal always fly in that kind of weather. The southshore is funny, different birds favor different parts. Widgeon are very rare in my area, they seem to favor the bays in western nassau mostly. I shot my secound one ever last year during an open bay ice hole hunt.

Tim... I have some spots here on the island with decent numbers of Widgeon. Let me know if you ever want to do a trade-a-trip. I would love to get into some Pintails.

Very nice pictures, Tim. I can tell you are going through some serious withdrawals to be looking at your hunting pictures at the end of April. Not to worry, however, because I do that also on a routine that is at least twice a week from the end of January until early teal season begins.

Great pics Tim. Wish I had never sold my south bay... Nice bag- pintail, black and brant- that is some fine eating...

Welcome to the forum Tim. Those are some nice mixed bags you've got there. I grew up on Long Island, still visit down there and do a little hunting each January.
