What are you most excited for this season?
Since opening day, I've had one of the best years to date of waterfowling. Now that we're Living right on (approx 1/16th mile from landing) a "ducky" lake has been a blast. Lots of 20-40min hunts before work. And with the roughly 1 hr move, all the water I go and hunt is brand new to me, so this year is an adventure so far, and continues to become more exciting all the time. I shot a nice drake bluebill on oct 2- the earliest I've ever taken one home with me. Lots of "weenie" ducks so far.
Katie shot her first goose in the early season, and we are going to stay with my folks so they can watch the kids while we get out of the house early so she can take a whack at shooting her first duck as well. Hopefully a big flock of migrating bluewings will put their little feeties down so she can get a clean and easy shot.
Hope everyone elses season is going well. I can't wait for the ice and the bluebills!
