Brandon,
Nice shot!! At least it was damaged doing what it was meant to do. I would be more upset if I dropped it at the boat ramp and broke the bill off.

I'd be more upset if it were damaged falling off a shelf

That is not damaged! That is what diver decoys are supposed to look like. That is also why wood ones are better than the flame proof plastic ones....... It didnt sink in the coarse of the mission.

Brandon you will remember the hunt every time you set that bird out.

Id say the pattern density and penetration are wonderful, hell, might even consider going down a size in shot and loosening up that choke a little!

Nice shot! It needs signed!

I had a buddy wipe out a whole string of plastic buffies the first time he was out.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of that one. I did not make him sign it but next time out I will bring a pen and have him. I like that idea. He managed to put 7 in the head and 7 in the body and far as I can tell the bird escaped unharmed.

We did have a good shoot that day though and the new guys really enjoyed seeing how diver hunting works.

The decoy came in for patch up but after inspection none of the pellets made it through to the hollowing so nothing is really needed back in the rig it went. I figure it had even more character then before now.

We took out 2 "newbie" diver hunters this weekend as well. They did the same thing. We were using my buddies decoys which are mainly plastics so we watched them slowly sink as the hunt went on. We said it made the spread more realistic because they were "diving"
