I received a special package today from Chuck J, it was Jarhead in his custom armored personnel carrier! After the season last year, I asked Chuck when Jarhead would be auctioned, I wanted to win the bid so I could gift it to my Brother and SIL. Chuck told me that Dave Diefenderfer had come up with the same idea and we could just slug it out. Not really, I talked to Dave and told him I would donate money to the cause, he never called me anyway. (dave, send me an email please).

To say I was choked up would be an understatement! I was all misty eyed reading about the great hunts and warm camaraderie. I have met and drank a few beers with more than a few of the sponsors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will be sending Jarhead to Illinois to be with my Brother and his family.

Since I had committed to the auction, I will be sending a donation in Ben's name to Chuck J.

Again, thank you, I can't say how much this means to me.

Right is right. Jarhead is in good hands and will be home soon.

When I was on the phone with Eric the other night, the thing that struck us about the efforts of Jarhead host group to buy back the decoy for Terry's family was that just when we think we have the membership of duckboats.net figured out, you folks go and surprise us by stepping it up a notch.

Best
Chuck

Terry,

it was an honor to host Jarhead in memory of Ben. We tried to return a small fraction of the respect that Ben's sacrifice deserves. Thanks to Ben, you and your family. Please convey our gratitude to them all for Ben's service and sacrifice.

BTW, Jarhead was quite the trooper and as tough as any Marine I ever met.

Terry - I echo Brad's setiments. Although I didn't get to hunt with Jarhead, I did get to hold it. It is an exceptional decoy with an exceptional cause. Godspeed to Ben and blessings to his family. My gratitude for his service and their sacrifice... Pat
