About pups and a kid

Serrano got just a touch too close and got her nose poked. Well the next picture shows her ready to seek revenge!

My wife blamed every pup but the right one for biting the pansies. I had to show her this picture to prove that Serrano was the culprit.

Serrano was sure having fun retrieving toys the other day. In fact, I was pretty impressed and quickly asked Bev for permission to train her to retrieve ducks. "NO!" "How many dogs do you need to go with you to hunt ducks?" she asked. "Isn't that why you trained Habi and then Chip last year?" All I could come up with was that I had never trained a black lab.

The boys were all asleep and Serrano was having a great time.

Last year we had a young couple and their 3 year old daughter come to look for a pup. We were all seated in the office looking at the pups in the whelping box. The mother looked and looked and finally picked up a pup and let her daughter hold it. She asked, "What do you think of this one, honey?" "I love him, mommy," she said. I interjected , "What is his name going to be?" With a very serious look on her face she said, "Otis Australia Parker. Even puppies need a middle name."

Bev and Serrano decided to head back to the house. Those two have been bonding for some time now.

Great Looking pups, AL! I can hardly wait to get our new little one in April and see the surprise look on my son's face when he gets his first puppy! It is hard keeping the news from him, i know that... thanks for sharing

Great photos and story. I've seen that poked nose snarl, seems like Deuce has to attack cockleburs about every time he passes some.

I suppose you better not accidentally let little Serrano retrieve one of those pigeons and look all happy prancing around with it. Be careful not to let that happen, especially when Bev is around and can see her little girl all happy with a mouth full of feathers. ;)

Al, This kind of stuff in the morning will put a smile on your face for the rest of the day. Thanks for sharing, Jeff

Well, Jeff, that comment made my week! Thanks so much and I'm glad those pictures made a difference. Puppies are pretty precious little bundles.

Hey Victor,
I'll bet you are counting the days until that happens. I, for one, will anticipate seeing a bunch of pictures from you!

If you ever need any extra cockleburs, Tim, we have lots of them down here.

I liked what you had to say about the pigeons and Serrano. Yes, I think a well planned accident is a possibility.
