Aluminum...not wood, but still sexy lines!

We all know that duck hunting can be somewhat of an expensive hobby, especially if you like boats too. I've had some good ones like many of us. Lund Alaskan, Zack Taylor Widgeon, Devlin Scaup, Poke Boat, Bailey Bridge Boat and my now latest acquisition. 2013, Duckwater Ocean 23' :)
I know, it's not wood and glass or canvas either, but I'm still pretty excited to get it out and see how it handles.

The summer just got a lot more interesting.

Steve build s an absolute TANK of a boat.

I've always said- if he were building boats during war times, I'm sure they would serve their purpose well.

Congratulations. I'm sure you will be pleased.

Good morning, Troy~

Congratulations! She may not be wood, but she certainly has traditional lines. Just like your Bailey, that's one sweet hull. All the best with her!

I admit, I am as jealous that you are snow free as I am about the great duck boat! Looking forward to your report(s) from your sea trials. Do you have current plans to personalize it?

Well I'm not Troy,,,,,,,,,,,,, but it is pretty obvious that the first thing he needs to do is paint the motor!

Hi Rick,
Thanks, it is snowing as I type...
I do have a few alterations in mind as this will be my "use for everything boat", although I will still have my Devlin Scaup. First and second will be a dog/people ladder and then also a kicker motor bracket. I'll also be flush mounting the Lowerance, adding a compass (just in case) and moving the VHF antenna to the starboard gunnel. I'll also be making a captains bench for behind the helm that will store my anchor and then off to each side will be a two step to exit and enter the boat. Some form of electronic protection and windshield is also kicking around in my head. Lastly (for now) is a removable ski bar set up for the stern.
I'm sure there will be more to come. It's fun to think of the what if(s)!

Thanks Dave,
That seems to be a common doing. I actually prefer the factory look and it saves on all the "what kind of motor is it" questions. I do already have a cover for it as well as the standard blind set up that comes with the boat.

Could have been Chris, I do know that the prior owner has a dually Dodge, but certainly could have been being pulled by a friends truck. Yes...house first!
thanks, troy

What about a fish box? Gotta have a fish box for when you go out for stripa's & blues!

That rig isn't just a duck boat. It is a duck battle cruiser. Must have ground to air missile launchers on it. Nice rig but tough to hide on Merrick Bay.
