I assume that plans from Devlin or elsewhere contemplate fiberglass or glass over wood construction. Would the plans need to be modified in any way if building a sneakbox from aluminum?
"john kuhn" has a number of posts here about the aluminum sneak boxes he welded up based on a Devon design. He used 1/8 aluminum and only made a few tweaks to the design on his first broadbill. His second had a few design changes to simplify it (pointed bow) and for me he made more changes to help fit my size 12 boots under the decks, light mounts, railings, folding oarlocks, cover, ect. Last date of John logging in is is 2018, but there should still be lots of pictures. John went on to larger designs as well as pond boxes. I've been very happy with my aluminum sneak.
