Aluminum strips...

Gang - I need to pick up some aluminum strips to cover the keelsons on my skiff. Where have you guys found that in the past? Can I get it through Hamilton Marine or Jamestown? Anyone local to the north shore of Mass have any luck finding some within driving distance?

Carpet store should have them up to 12' in different shapes. They use them for dividing vinyl floor transitions.
 
Since you are putting it in the salt I'd go with marine Aluminum. Get flat bar in any width and thickness you want. Maybe Catizone will chime in on a palce in coastal mass. I've used Yarde metals, but there isn't one in Mass only NH.
 
Gotz mine at Lowes Nate. 1"x1/8"x3' strips.

BTW - I bedded mine down with 3m 5200 then screwed it down with SS flat-head screws.

Thanks guys for the responses. I'll check in with Capt. John. Where in NH is Yarde metals? I could probably drive up there.

Did someone say aluminum!!!

Just send me an email with the size that would make you most happy. It won't take me long to get you pricing of marine grade (5XXX) bar stock.
