An Apology

I didn't realize that the threads I have been starting were going to upset so many people, they weren't intended to do so. The point of the two posts (trapping/whaling) was to see what the feelings were of the members on the site about the subjects. I really hope I don't come off as a blood thirsty killer of animals, as that's just not me. Steve and I had talked via e-mails before I was able to join this site, and if it weren't for him and Eric working hard to get me on here ..... well, I wouldn't be here to enjoy the posts on this forum. I'd like to take this time to apologize to everyone on here I offended by starting the two threads that caused so much trouble, and to let y'all know to not take me too seriously as I tend to joke around quite a bit.

I didn't take the time to follow either thread because I have seen where they go all too often. (nowhere). But that said it seems to me that you have done the right thing this time. Like the ref says "keep er clean boys". I am NOT weighing in on the issues one way or the other just acknowleging the apology.

First rate Gary - but like Bob, I see no need to apologize. I don't find you offensive at all - maybe persistent, dogged, and curious, but not offensive.
