Another BBSB coming back out to hunt

I traded for this BBSB about a year ago. It’s been hanging in a barn in Michigan for several years. On the way home from Bear hunting in Canada I stopped over at my hunting buddy’s house. We got the boat down and in the truck for its journey to my home.
Can anyone tell me something about this BBSB?

Good morning, Randy~

I have no inkling as to the builder. As always, I defer to the Jersey Boys here on the site for such matters.

In any event, I recommend Peter Guthorn's book - which depicts numerous Sneakboxes and their builders. In fact, I suggest it for anyone who loves old gunning boats.

Your vessel is a beaut. Very deep-hulled, with a nice feather-edge and a sweet, gentle sheer. Her cockpit seems more generous than most - and I - being a Long Island boy - appreciate the fixed (i.e., not folding) oarlock stanchions.

Enjoy!
