Happy Birthday son... #10. Oh my how the time flies by quicker with each passing year...

This year's birthday decoy was carved and painted by Rich Hohler. Thanks again Rich!!

Here too is the collection of birthday decoys in order from the lower left to the top.

What a great idea, Brian. Looks to me like this 4th grader is going to be set when he is on his own when duck hunting. I enjoyed this. By the way, you sure are right about time flying by quicker with each passing year.

That's quite a spread. There are a lot of nice decoys there, but I really like the looks of that black duck. Who made it?

Thanks guys. I wish I was smart enough to think of the birthday decoy thing myself, but I am not. Just clever enough to see another dad doing and I jumped on the idea.
I am blessed that my son understands the value of his growing collection well beyond the mere $$ spent on it.
This year was particularly special for us both because G-Man was able to hunt with me for the first time and his first ducks taken were wood ducks.

For Jeff and Andrew, the decoys are;

#1 and #2 Cans by Lee Harker
Ian Feir made the preening Black duck
Yukon Mike's caribou antler old squaw
Pat Gregory, the Bull Bluebill
Geoff Pike made the feeding drake Redhead
Jason Russell did the resting Gadwall
a Willy McDonald Ringer
Rutgers' mammoth hen Redhead
and as I mentioned already, #10, Rich Hohler's preening wood duck

excellent job of building him a rig of great decoys. I have the same patterned woodrow from Rich and it is a great bird.
