I went to log on yesterday and couldn't. Tryed several times. Then I realized that Eric was partisipating in the protest about the proposed new anti pirate laws. Way to go Eric I'm very impressed with you taking a stand. I'm sure everyone is behind you. I know we can make a diference.

Well thanks for the compliments but before yesterday the only thing I knew about SOPA PILA was it makes a nice dessert covered in honey.

I thought the intermission was kind of nice...I sat and talked with the wife for a while and went to bed early and got some long overdue rest...woke up and the forum was back...no complaints from me. I'm not for sensorship, but also not sure how much duckboats.net being off the air impacted congress.

It pleases me a great deal to see that folks on this forum are concerned about these awful regulations. No disrespect, but I would not have expected this crew to be tuned into these issues. Please do a little research and educate yourself about what the implications of SOPA, PIPA, NDAA are and while your at it it's always good to educate yourself about the so-called PATRIOT ACT.

Think about the wealth of information that you have access to on the internet. Think about how it has changed your life to be able to learn anything you want with very little effort. Now imagine what it will be like if that is taken away.

Do not trust the politicians and their corporate puppet masters when they tell you they will never misuse these laws. The seriousness of this issue cannot be overstated.

I apologize for talking politics amongst polite company but since this thread was here I felt it not too inappropriate to throw my 2 cents in. I will now turn my attention back to our favorite topic: Ducks, geese, brant, hunting, boats, guns, and good times with good friends.

How many realize that by me attaching this quote to my post, I could be in violation of copyright laws. This was someone else's work, created and published and I just copied it. Copyrights start the minute they are put to paper and there is nothing you need to do to get something you wrote copyrighted - it just happens.

Freakin Hollywood/Record company types want to own everything and will get congress to to their dirty work. These new proposed rules are bad, very very bad.
