pondering the idea of making some foam/burlap decoys. just wondering if anyone has any input. the idea of hunting out of a boat that you built, over decoys that you made really sounds like a great hunt birds or not.

thanks

i've made a couple. biggest issue i have found with them is they are extremely light and bouyant...they require quite a bit of weight in the keel to make them ride ok.

Buy some Herters bare bodies and then burlap them and paint them. The next best thing to carving your own.
They are heavy and ride the water like a duck.

Some with wood heads and others with burlapped foam heads. I think they ride as good or better than my corks. I like to carve mine rather than buy molded bodies-just a personal choice. I'd be glad to answer any questions
