Anybody going to the Easton Waterfowl Festival?

Unfortunately I won't be able to, but if you are going and get the itch to drive around the area, the Tighlman Island Country Store, on Tighlmans has some of the best baked goods in the area. Their apple muffins are to die for. They also keep a half dozen of my decoys in stock and for sale. While there, take a look at the pale green flatbottom canoe outside to the right of the store. It is a 6 hour canoe I built for my nephew. West system epoxy over 1/4" exterior grade ply.

PS, full disclosure, the store is owned and operated by my sister Patricia and her husband John....

John,
I'm going for the entire weekend so I'm sure I'll have time to visit the store...Anything non-perishable you'd like me to pick up for ya? My daughter's visiting me over Thanksgiving week and she can deliver to your door...She also lives in Essex Junction...I'll test out the bake goods and say hello to your family...

Hi Bruce. Your daughter lives in Essex Jct and is going to visit with you down there? Man it is a small world. Thanks for the offer, but I can't think of anything I need. If you go there, ask for Patricia or John. If they have either the carrot cake or the triple layer choc cake my mother bakes, try them. My sister also makes a cheeseburger with a big pile of carmelised onions on it...again, worth getting.

Enjoy the show...I'll be jealous...

I'll be at the auction on Thursday morning and then in the High School Gymnasium for the Buy, Swap and Sell. If you are going please look me up.

I will vouch for the apple muffins, they are truly outstanding. I hunted Tilghman last January 3rd and 4th. Just so happened to be the store's grand reopening. They did a fantastic job with it. I'll be back down Dec. 29th and 30th this year. Always excited to head down there! I may just have to bring a dozen muffins back home with me this time.

A few pics from that trip just for the heck of it.

Hi Charles. Canvasbacks on the Cheasapeake! Boy do I miss that....

If you stop in at the store, get them to make you one of those cheesburgers with the carmelised onions....

Enjoy your trip down there, and let me know how it went, I'm not going to be able to get down there for some time...
