Been feeding my Lab regular Eukanuba dog food since he was a pup as it was recommended by the breeder. He is now 9 yrs old,When the fall rolls around and he starts working more and then during hunting season I put him on the "premium grade" for high performance dogs. But it seems like he's not getting enough nutrients from what should be a high performance blend. It seems he cant keep on weight during hunting season.I make sure theres always food in his dish plus fresh water..He never eats it all and I think he doesnt really care for it as most dogs will eat till there isnt anymore. He is in good health and very energetic just very lean.I know some people supplement with eggs,scraps,etc..but Im not big on that, I feel he should get it from his food.Could it be that the food isnt the same as it used to be?..could they be skimping on the recipe?..Iv'e heard of this..has anyone had this problem as well?..
