Arkansas Duck Season as proposed...

This will be confirmed August 15th/16th at the Commission meeting, but I don't expect too many changes, if any. From the website:

"Using the liberal season parameters, the proposed season dates for the 2007-2008 waterfowl season are:
Nov. 17 – Dec. 18, Dec. 26 – Jan. 6 and Jan. 12 – Jan. 27
Youth waterfowl hunt:
Dec. 22-23
The proposed bag limits are the same as last year’s limit of six ducks consisting of four mallards (only one of which may be a hen), two wood ducks, two redheads, one black duck, one pintail, one canvasback, three mottled ducks or two scaup. The season structure will be approved at the August commission meeting."

The ONLY difference we might see is that the Fed actually approved a TWO canvasback limit per day on the MS Flyway, so Arkansas could jump up from one to two. It won't affect most of the Arkies, because they don't hunt divers, but the few of us who will might get the chance to down a brace this year...could be a great limit - two bull cans, two scaup, and two redheads (or goldeneyes).

Also BE AWARE that Arkansas has proposed outlawing ALL electronic decoy "devices", not just spinners. Shakers, splashers, etc. would be banned. Back to kicking water and using a jerk string...
