Armistice Day Storm remembered....

Did anyone get a copy? I never did.... I did search on-line and found a book, that I hope the kids will have for me for Christmas... titled, All Hell Broke Loose Experiences", a collection of stories of the great blizzard. Would like a copy of the Wildfowl article though... I read it once, and should have kept it.

TIA, Dave

I read an account of this storm and I think it was in one of Gordon MacQuarrie's story collections but someone has not returned my copy so I can't be sure.

If you can wait until after Christmas I can send you a copy of my experiences living thru that storm with my dad out of LaCrosse on the Mississippi.

Wiz,

Any way to post your experiences on the forum? I'll bet a lot here would like to read it also. maybe some youngsters that have never heard of the events that year. Glad you're here to write about it.

I think I remember an article I read when I was in my teens in one of my Dad's magazines that was titled, "The Day The Duck Hunters Died". There have been several cold and storm fronts that seem to get a few hunters almost every year. Hope you guys in the fozen part of the country ( and other parts) are taking a change of warm clothes and maybe an LP gas heater or at least a way of making a fire when you go out hunting (PFD of course should be warn on a boat).

Be safe all,
Harry
