Arthur Anderson blinds for Broadbill & Blackjack

paul-

how tall are your flappers?

i think that the cockpit in the blackjack is lower/shorter than your boat, probably half as tall i suspect. i will post some dimensions and numbers this weekend. i think that your roy boat has a taller profile.

all the blind designs that i think are best come back to the concept of spray dodger and extension, like the kind i posted at the start.

look at the spray dodger arrangement on a barnegat bay or delaware ducker- same thing for this, only double ended, that one side or the other could be dropped.

i think most people try to do too much on their blinds and overbuild and over complicate.

So what do you guys think will work better in the salt marsh considering I want to stay as low profile as possible and also considering that I hunt with a 70lb yellow lab. Option A is the blind that have on it now. It's basically a large spray shield that has an additional fold out "roof" and a lap canvas. It will be grassed up when I go, the current pic has green camo for early goose season. Not low profile but roomy and hides my big head and my lab very well. Option B would be like removing the fold out "roof" portion, sewing the canvas and just leaving the large spray shield. A little more low profile, my lab will sit on the bow under the shield and lay down relatively still. The grass is just laid down to give an idea. It will look a lot better when I grass it. Option C is remove the blind all together, keep the lap canvas and install grass rails on the bow. Low profile, but offers little concealment to birds overhead. Any ideas?
