Most everyone that spends any time on the board has probably looked at the thread that Chris S authored while restoring his feather edge bought that was originally built in the early '50's in or around Somers Point. I bought the boat from Chris last summer and hunted the Ohio River and embayment's last year and had planned to use it this year as well before upgrading to a two man/one dog boat in the spring. Unfortunately, an injury to my left elbow has sidelined me this fall and winter and it makes sense to try and find the old girl a new home for this season.
The outboard is a '97 Evinrude 15. Carb was rebuilt in August with the water pump impeller and lower unit oil replaced at the same time.
I replaced the old Holesclaw trailer that Chris used with a 2003 Yacht Club bunk model that is rated for 1200lbs. Both the boat and trailer are titled and licensed in WV.
Incidentals include oars, pushpole, cushioned reclining seat, new fuel tank, D Cell Battery operated running lights, and a fantastic custom dodger that Chris built.
Asking $2200, I live in western WV on the Ohio River, this is a great chance for a Midwest hunter to pick up a classic boat without driving to the coast. If needed, I can transport 150-200 miles to meet a confirmed buyer half way.
