Black Clouds

I've shot a couple boxes over the past two years. My experience was the 3" #2's did well on ducks. I also shot some geese with 3.5" BBB's. Overall I think they work fine, but they're not a "magic" shell.

I bought a couple of boxes of 3" #4s last year. I shoot a stoeger 2000, and seemed to shoot better with these shells than regular steel or the HD steel. They are more expensive than regular steel, but not by much and definitely cheaper than some of the other non-toxic shot. I plan on getting more this season.

I tried running some through my 870 Express last year and quickly reverted back to Winchester Xperts. I don't think they were worth the extra money I spent on them for my style of hunting. I especially didn't like the fact that they tended to jam my gun when cycling another round into the chamber. That cost me a few missed shots.

I have shot the black clouds they are lethal. The shot cup makes them pattern good through my benelli. Using them on geese I have less shots per goose. I still shoot other brands because of the price and availability. John

They pattern extremely well out of my xtrema 2 with factory IC. As for being lethal, I'm a believer. Used them all last season, even late season sea ducks where I went 4 for 4 stone dead on the next to last weekend. Used to waste a lot shells shooting cripple sea ducks. Don't know how much of it is the ringed pellet or just the overall good pattern.

That is the issue I am running into as well. My local outdoors store has an order w/ 3 different suppliers and they are all on backorder as well.
