Black cork question

Anyone have a suggestion as to what to use for marking a pattern on black cork? I tried a silver felt marker but they only seem to work for one pattern and then you barely see a line.

I've used heavy felt tip markers, lumber crayon, and chalk-all of them work. Chalk is the best for visibility. A lumber crayon is the cleanest.

Thanks guys! As soon as i read the first reply stating chalk i had one of those "duh" moments.....i even used a chalkline to mark out my blocks for cutting.....

Consider drawing your pattern on paper and using 3M super 77 to spray glue it to the cork. I have all of my patterns digitized, so I print my pattens from my computer and then glue them directly to the top and side of the block. Then you have a perfect line to cut with your bandsaw.

If I have smaller or larger wood, I can take advantage by enlarging or reducing my pattern to fit the wood.
