Blizzard prayer, 78 survivor

North of Grand Rapids....

We have a fair bit of deep drifting happening here. I'm sure glad I can work from home today...

I'm going to have a little bite of lunch now then go out to play in the drifts with the kids! Ha!

Thanks for the pictures guys. Makes me feel a lot better about the half foot we got. It doesn't make me feel any better about the -7 right now.

Last week we were -15! I've been in this area of Michigan (close to the Lake Michigan shore) for about 17 years and I think that is the coldest since I lived here. I remember -20ish when I was in Lansing (another hours drive inland) in '92 I think. MSU called off classes because they were fearing for the safety of students walking to class...as soon as word got around that classes were off, we all were off to the beer store.

What snow, Im on the other side of the pond and I car,nt see any HeHeHe.
Take care and God Bless

Its all about Building that Bond.

The storm pretty much fizzled here, at least if you listen to the forecast. They called for 18-24 inches, we got maybe 15, but I'm glad I'm not cleaning up any more than I need to. Been a long month of storms. Here's what the forecast looked like to me...

Come on!!
It only made it to #3 in Chicago.
'67 & '99 still top it.
It did blow '79 out by about an 1.5"
Mark (MO) nice pics!!
The one of the snow just under the bottom of the mail box looked like my front yard.
We shoveld/blowed for over 2hrs.
Thank God the neighbor came over with his 38" 2-stage to help.
He helped a number of people on the block.
He just bought it this November and was like a kid with a new toy.
It even has power steering.
Now we are wating for the deep freeze to come in - just like '79

Well as all know the weather man/woman was right...Level 1 snow warning in Fort Wayne...I sure miss the 70 degree winters of Lousiana instead of 11" of snow and 4' high snow drifts...It was nice swatting mosquitos in the morning flooded timber while duck hunting...I hope everybody is safe through all that mother nature has thrown us the past 24 hours...

Regards,

Kristan

Good luck with that Dave.
It's amazing how this winter is distorting what good weather is, they say it will be 20 tomorrow and that is a positive forecast.
